Campo del Cielo refers to a group of iron meteorites and to the area in Argentina where they were found. The craters' age is estimated as four to five thousand years. Containing iron masses, they were reported in 1576, but were already well known to local aboriginal inhabitants. The craters and their surrounds contain many fragments of an iron meteorite.
Please note - this is genuine authentic meteorite. Each stone is different and will vary in shape and style. Meteorite does contain nickel and iron, though it is not in an area that comes in contact easily with your skin. But if you have sensitivities to these metals, please be aware that the authentic meteorite does contain these elements. Comes with authenticity information.
